Danny Bryant demonstrated an
increasing maturity within his music with the release of Days Like This a
year ago.
I always felt that, having paid
his dues by gigging so extensively through his youth, this CD was his rite
of passage - impressively showcasing his immense talents. How could he
follow that?
Well, he recorded a Live album.
Called simply 'Live' it does exactly what it says on the tin. This is Danny
at his absolute personal zenith. He always gives his all on stage and this
CD brilliantly captures the moment, the spontaneity, and the atmosphere of
the concert.
Throughout the experience, Danny
reigns supreme. There are some familiar compositions offered here from
Danny's extensive career as a songwriter. And a few covers are given notable
Bryant treatment. Result? A triumphant success.
If you can't follow the
Redeyeband to all of their gigs - who could afford to with so much tour time
now being spent on the Continent and an upcoming American excursion? - this
is probably the nearest you will get to consistent, dedicated and inventive
Blues-Rock guitar anywhere in the world nowadays.
Danny Bryant has grafted hard to
achieve success. It seems that the rewards are beginning to appear -
endorsed by Marshall amplification and now supported by a new record
company, the future looks bright for this young man. Let us hope that his
success does not take him overseas permanently.
What else could Danny Bryant now
offer to his enormous army of fans? Perhaps a Live DVD? Until that gets
recorded, buy this CD - it's hot! Very, very hot!!!
